Spotlight on Chris Devine

Spotlight on Chris Devine

We are excited to share another #AAFSpotlight feature. Chris is an Advertising and Marketing artist at The Morning Call.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t make excuses. They never help.

What keeps you motivated?

I am motivated by my responsibilities to those around me. I do not like to let people down. So I have to keep moving forward, until the job is done. Coffee also helps.

Also: “Can I make changes after it’s approved?”

Which Muppet best fits your personality?

Rowlf, the Dog. He is laid back and quiet with a dry sense of humor. I loved him as a kid and I still love him today.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

I do not engage in social media in my personal life. I like my life simple and I do not see the need to share it in a virtual world. I think a lot of people miss out on really awesome experiences because they are busy looking at a screen.

Currently, how big is the logo? Do you see it getting bigger? The client wants to know.

If you cannot see it from space, it is not big enough.

That was a joke.

About Chris:

I graduated from Kutztown University with a BA in Anthropology (concentration in cultural studies/art) in 2008, and Northampton Community College with an AS in Communication Design in 2013. I have since worked as an Advertising and Marketing artist at The Morning Call. At home I enjoy making noise with my collection of effects pedals, watching sci-fi/horror movies and hanging out with my wife and rabbits. When I am out and about, I really like to “people watch”. In ethnography, this activity is a research method known as behavioral observation.
